Hammond 1555 A FL Watertight ABS Enclosure; Flanged Lid
The Hammond 1555 A FL is a robust, general-purpose enclosure specifically designed for indoor industrial environments. The defining feature of this variant is the integrated flanged lid, which enables direct wall or shelf mounting without the need for additional bracket kits. Ideal for housing DIN rail components or PCBs, these enclosures combine high-level ingress protection with a modern, professional aesthetic in Light Grey (RAL 7035).
Key Technical Features:
- Secure Mounting: The flanged lid design allows the enclosure to be mounted to any flat surface via external holes, ensuring the internal electronics remain undisturbed and the gasket seal stays intact.
- Superior Sealing: Features a two-piece tongue and groove construction paired with a high-temperature, UL-listed silicone gasket (supplied loose to prevent compression during storage).
- Industrial Durability: Moulded from general-purpose ABS with an IP66 ingress rating and IK07 impact resistance, protecting against dust, oil, and powerful water jets.
- Corrosion-Proof Hardware: The lid is secured with M4 stainless steel machine screws that thread into integrated, corrosion-resistant inserts for repetitive assembly and disassembly.
- Membrane-Ready Lid: The styled lid provides a smooth, recessed surface, making it the perfect choice for mounting membrane keypads or identifying labels
Material Specification: ABS (Indoor)
- Environmental Rating: Tested to meet IP66 and IK07 standards.
- Temperature Range: Recommended for use between -20°C and +60°C.
- Flammability: UL94-HB rated material.
- Best Use: Factory floors, control rooms, and indoor IoT gateway installations.
Internal Mounting & Customisation
The 1555 series is designed with the installer in mind. Internal features allow for:
- PCB Mounting: Internal standoffs and mounting posts for secure board placement.
- DIN Rail Integration: Internal tabs (on most models) for rapid installation of standard DIN rail components.
- Accessories: Compatible with galvanised steel inner panels, pole mount kits, and breather kits to prevent internal condensation.
